Although it was touted that Martin Murray and George Groves will be meeting in what could be a career defining fight for both fighters, it seems any such fight won?t be happening that soon.

On the back of George Groves being added to the huge bill at the O2 Arena, in London, a show whereby Anthony Joshua will be fighting Charles Martin for the IBF heavyweight crown, Martin Murray has now been added to the May 7th promotion at the Manchester Arena which will see Anthony Crolla defend his WBA lightweight crown against the big punching Ismael Barroso.

No opponent has yet been announced for Murray, whose ring record now reads 32-31 with 15 wins coming by knockout, but we?d imagine it?ll be an opponent that will give Murray a test without overly extending him as we meander to wards that aforementioned clash with George Groves.

When the opponent is revealed we?ll revisit the situation and report further.
