Before the event it was implied that the long-awaited super-fight between Floyd Mayweather Junior and Manny Pacquiao would be the biggest fight, money-wise, in the history of the sport.

With Mayweather emerging victorious on points and thereby keeping his unbeaten record intact, the figures have been released with regards to the US pay-per-view figures.

It seems that the revenue from US TV alone amounted to £255 million with a record 4.4 million people subscribing to the pay-per-view schedule.

This figure firmly eclipsed the previous high of 2.48 million pay-per-view customers that coughed up when Floyd Mayweather and Oscar De La Hoys fought, back in 2007.

Now tell me there won?t be a re-match somewhere down the line!
