Kevin Mitchell climbs back into the ring on 31st January 2015, looking to get back into world title contention.

Mitchell, who should be lining up for a world title in his next fight but isn?t due to a weight error last time, will be fighting at the O2 Arena in a Matchroom show.

His opponent will be another former word title contender in Daniel Estrada. The fight, over 12 rounds is the main event and pits two combative fighters against each other.

Mitchell, with a record of 38-2 with 28 by way of knockout will be taking on a Mexican who also has a respectable record that reads 32-3-1 with 24 by way of knockout.

It is hoped that the fight will be classified as a final world title eliminator with the promoter, Eddie Hearn, remarking,

‘We have applied to the WBC to make this fight a final eliminator for the WBC title with the winner to face the winner of Jorge Linares versus Javier Prieto, and we will be pushing the request at the upcoming convention. I expect it to be successful. It’s all part of a cracking line-up at the O2.’

It certainly does and it is a night to look forward to.
