In a surprise announcement it appears that Kevin Mitchell may be getting a world title opportunity after all.
Mitchell appeared to have lost all chance of a last title shot after weight problems saw him fail to make the on-the-day weight for the final eliminator against Ghislain Maduma in May, on the titanic promotion at Wembley Stadium that saw Carl Froch beat George Groves.
The announcement suggests that Mitchell could be taking on the IBF Champion Miguel Vazquez at the O2 Arena in London, on October 11th.
