The promotion at the O2 Arena in London, on 31st January, will see Kevin Mitchell given another chance to claim a world title fight.

Mitchell, the #7 ranked WBC fighter will be taking on the #6 WBC ranked fighter Daniel Estrada in an official WBC lightweight title eliminator.

The winner of this bout is expected to take on the current WBC champion Jorge Linarea, a fighter the Mitchell camp believe they can defeat.

Talking about his chosen option, Mitchell has remarked to the media,

?The WBC route is one that I feel I can go down better than any of the others,?

?I know that I can beat Linares. I believe I would knock him out and take that title. Eddie Hearn puts the fighters in front of me and I take them out, that?s the deal.?

Mitchell, back in May 2014, thought he?d earned an IBF world title fight when he knocked out Ghislain Maduma, in the 11th round but the chance disappeared when it was revealed that Mitchell had come in overweight at the secondary weigh-in.

Hopefully Mitchell?s camp will get their sums right and Mitchell can go on and fight for that WBC title this time around.
