Yesterday we commented on how Kevin Mitchell has overcome his demons to grasp a third chance at a world title.

His previous two, at times when his life has gone off the rails, saw the popular East End fighter lose to Ricky Burns and Michael Katsidis, in both fight he was knocked out, the 3rd round against the Australian fighter and the 4th round against the Scottish fighter.

His third attempt, against Jorge Linares is, some people are saying, his most difficult yet. Mitchell earned his chance by stopping Daniel Estrada, in the 8th round, but Linares is a completely different kettle of fish and in his last three fights, against Javier Prieto, Ira Terry and Nihito Arakawa has looked particularly impressive.

But Mitchell is waiting for his night of destiny to come and ahead of the fight has remarked,

?This is the making of my career.

?I will win this fight and create a legacy as a world champion. But I believe I will shut him down. I know I am going to win this fight.?

Whereas his opponent, Linares, has remarked,

?I feel his style of fighting will suit me.?

This fight has all the hallmarks of being a thriller, Mitchell, I believe, will have to fight the fight of his life to clinch this one.

I guess we?ll know on Saturday night if it is going to be third time lucky for the lad from East London.
