Anyone who has eagerly been awaiting the return of Mike Tyson, to the United Kingdom, to do some promotional work, is probably as disappointed as me that he won?t be coming.

The former heavyweight champion, and a fighter that illuminated the sport on his march to becoming the youngest ever world champion at heavyweight, was coming to the UK to promote his autobiography – Undisputed Truth.

However those who perceive they run this country have, despite Mike having visited the UK on numerous times, barred him from entering again. Apparently they have been able to do implement this draconian measure by altering the rules when it comes to entering Britain when it comes to time served. Seemingly, if you?ve been sentenced to more than four years in prison you?ll be told to bugger off.

Tyson, as we all know, served three years of a six year sentence passed back in 1992 for raping a beauty queen, something he refutes.

But what makes a mockery, for me, of this barring of Tyson is that he?s been over here several times, without a fuss being made, I can even recall him coming to Olympia for a convention where he signed photos, poster, gloves etc.

However, I?m not going to get in a slanging match with those who continue to anger the people who have to live in this country, probably because they won?t have the time to do so having just agreed an 11% pay-rise for themselves, they?ll probably be too busy filling in their expense forms anyway!
