With 2014 fast slipping towards the history books and with 2015 approaching over the horizon, Barry McGuigan is predicting a big year for his charge, Carl Frampton.

Having won the IBF upper-bantamweight title with a superb win over Kiko Martinez, on an emotional night in Belfast, Frampton is set to make his first mandatory defence against Chris Avalos in Belfast on 28th February.

McGuigan, who has guided Frampton from the novice stage of his professional career to being a world champion, has commented about the forthcoming year as far as Frampton is concerned,

?I believe that 2015 will be a sensational year for Carl Frampton, and I believe that he will beat Avalos and he will beat him in exciting style, and then we will go on to fight Quigg possibly or Leo Santa Cruz. It?s going to be a magnificent year for him.?

Let?s keep our fingers crossed and pray that is exactly the case.
