Over in America one of our fighters is looking to make a huge impression.

Jamie McDonnell, the WBA bantamweight title holder, is taking on the Japanese fighter Tomoki Kameda.

Kameda, gave up his WBO strap to face McDonnell believing he can win the more prestigious WBA belt.

However, McDonnell is of the belief that his size will be the key factor in the fight and has remarked to the media,

?I think Kameda is a bit scared and a bit intimidated by my size.

?I genuinely believe I am going to knock him out. I’m too big and too strong.

?I’ve been a world champion for a couple of years now. I’m ultra-confident for this fight. It’s the best I’ve ever felt. I’m really looking forward to it.

?Kameda is a good fighter and I expect the very best from him. He better expect the very best from me. This is life changing, whoever wins this fight gets propelled up a few levels.?

It could be a tough night for McDonnell and he may have to dig deep to overcome some bad moments, but here at Vital Boxing we reckon he?ll edge it on points.
