Tonight is the big night!

At 04:00 UK time, Sunday morning, Floyd Mayweather Junior and Manny Pacquiao will make their way to the ring at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas.

In a fight that has been described as the richest ever, the two veterans will slug it out for supremacy.

On Friday the fighters assembled for the way-in at the MGM Grand Arena, an event that attracted an audience of 11,500 each paying an entrance fee of $10, with reports suggesting that those $10 tickets were changing hands on the black market for as much as $800.

The weigh-in lasted some two hours with Floyd Mayweather Junior tipping the scales at 146lb whilst Manny Pacquiao weighed in at 145ib.

Mayweather, tipped by many to emerge the victor, had this to say at the weigh-in,

‘I believe that with my skills, I’m going to be victorious.

‘I don’t take anything away from Manny Pacquiao, he’s a solid fighter and it will be an intriguing match-up.

‘But after Saturday, I’ll still be ‘TBE’ [The Best Ever].’

Mayweather enters the fight with a 47-0 record.

As for Manny Pacquiao, the under-dog, had this to say,

‘It’s a great responsibility for me to give enjoyment to the fans. The fans deserve to have a good fight, whether they are a fan of Mayweather or Pacquiao.

‘The Lord will always be with me and strengthen me and deliver him into my hands.’

Here at Vital Boxing we expect Mayweather to win but we?d like Pacquiao to win.

  • Hope Manny shows the world what a little git Mayweather is when he’s faced by a man not a woman.
