Matthew Hatton, brother or Ricky, has officially announced his retirement from Boxing.

Hatton, who has spent thirteen years in the sport, enjoyed a relatively successful career.

Fighting at welterweight and light-middleweight, Hatton had 52 fights winning 43, losing 6 and drawing 2.

During his career he won the European Championship and was involved in Commonwealth and World title fights.

Although many might suggest that Matthew often lived in the shadow of his brother his exploits in the ring infer that his career was far better than many can only dream of.

Talking about the announcement, Matthew has remarked,

?Thanks to everyone who helped me along the way. Sad day but enjoyed every second?

Here at Vital Boxing we?d like to wish Matthew a happy retirement and we?d like to thank him for everything he gave this wonderful sport of ours.
