This time next week we?ll know whether Sheffield?s Kell Brook has realized a life-long dream and landed the IBF middleweight world title belt.

Taking on the current champion, Shawn Porter, it is a fight many suggest could go either way.

However, it?s interesting that once you reach these giddy heights f fighting for a world title, your destiny is often shaped by others.

Although Kell has spoken about a huge domestic tear-up with Amir Khan, the word from across the pond is that someone else has other ideas.

It appears that Fernando Beltran, who promotes the four-time world champion Juan Manuel Marquez, wants his fighter to meet the winner of the Porter v Brook showdown.

Furthermore, with the aim of Marquez securing a world title at a fifth weight, Beltran wants the winner to travel to Mexico, home turf for Marquez, for the bout.

Now whilst Porter may be obliging in that respect if he wins, I?d imagine Brook?s camp wouldn?t be too impressed in holding a first defence away from his native England!
