On the undercard of the bill which is topped by Frankie Gavin, at the Civic Hall Wolverhampton, this Friday is an interesting heavyweight clash.

The fight sees Lucas ?Big Daddy? Browne go head-to-head with the Ukrainian Andriy Rudenko.

Both fighters are unbeaten with Browne having a record that reads 20-0 with 18 by way of knockout and Rudenko having a record that reads 24-0 with 16 by way of knockout.

Browne is rated #8 by the WBC and at 35 years of age is looking to further his career with a potential world title fight somewhere down the line.

Now whether Browne has what it takes to become a world title holder is debatable, however a fellow Australian who has tasted world title glory, Jeff Fenech, reckons his compatriot is ready, remarking,

?The WBC and WBA champions are both beatable. If Lucas keeps getting the best sparring then he could be fighting for a world title in six months.?

?Preparation is everything and as long as he gets the right camp, he?ll be ready.

This Friday could well be the acid test, is Browne up to it, I reckon this will be a tough scrap and could go either way!
