Next weekend Stuart Hall travels to Monte Carlo in a bid to try and regain his IBF bantamweight title.
Hall lost the title when he defended it against Paul Butler.
However, as you are probably aware, Butler relinquished the belt to return to the weight below to try and win a world title at the lower weight.
In the discussions that evolved, it turned out that Hall was given a chance to fight the mandatory challenger, Randy Caballero.
As you?d expect, Hall is looking forward to the fight and has had this to say about what lies ahead, remarking,
‘Caballero will look at my last fight and maybe think he’s in for an easy night.’
?But there’s a whole new Stuey Hall come the 25 October in Monte Carlo.’
‘I’ve got a new trainer in Pat Lynch and Max McCracken and I’m training twice a day, every day.
‘I’m sparring four out of five days, I’m coming on loads, learning new things and it’s revitalized me.’
It all sounds promising for Hall as he prepares to fight on the under-card of the Martin Murray’s WBC Silver middleweight title defence against Domenico Spada.
Although we must not forget that Caballero is a decent fighter who has a good record although Hall slightly disputes that, remarking,
‘He’s beaten 21 people so he’s a definite threat.?
‘He’ll be full of confidence but in my eyes he hasn’t fought anybody but I won’t read too much into him.’
Next Saturday (October 25th) promises to be a good night when it comes to entertainment.
