Luke Campbell?s desire to become a world champion could be set to be realised.

However, if the Hull lightweight is to realise that dream he will have to beat somebody who is no stranger to these shores.

Campbell is set to take on the very-respected Jorge Linares for the WBA lightweight title.

The Hull fighter earned his chance to become the mandatory challenger after beating Darleys Perez back in April.

Linares and his camp have been given thirty-days to arrange the fight otherwise it will go to purse bids.

The 31-year-old Venuzuelan won the title against Anthony Crolla and also made a successful defence of it against the same fighter in a re-match, with both fights taking place in the UK.

Campbell, who won a gold medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games, has a professional record that reads 17-1 and the bout against Linares will be his first shot at a world title.
