Lewis to be Ali Pallbearer

This Friday, in Louisville, Kentucky, the funeral of Muhammad Ali will take place at 19:00 hours UK time.

2016 hasn?t been a good year when it comes to my heroes; already we?ve lost David Bowie and Lemmy to name but two.

But whilst I had every admiration for the aforementioned duo, Ali was the icon I looked up to.

With his funeral fast approaching, and a very public funeral at that, it has been announced over the last twenty-four hours that one of the pallbearers at his funeral will be Lennox Lewis, whilst the actor Will Smith has also been granted that honour.

Smith, as you may or may not know, played Muhammad Ali in the film of the same name.

It promises to be a sad occasion but one that every fan of our great sport will want to watch, purely in honour of the greatest boxer our sport has known.
