At the recent weigh-in, ahead of the recent fight between Wladimir Klitschko and Bryant Jennings, there was a bit of a verbal melee between two other heavyweights.
Naturally Deontay Wilder was on hand to see how events turned out but it was to be the perennial troublemaker Shannon Briggs that was to steal the show.
Briggs, now well into his forties, has made a habit of almost stalking Wladimir presumably to push him into fighting him somewhere down the line.
But surely Briggs time has been and gone and even though he?s been on the comeback trail his victories have been against less than average opponents.
However, if Briggs is after one last pay-day then perhaps Wilder could be his pay-day.
There are thoughts that Wilder, even though he is a bona-fida world title holder has yet to have his chin seriously tested.
Could a fired up Briggs be the man to do that, or would Wilder?s superior power smash Briggs into where he should now be ? retirement!
Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Let Wilder Loose on Briggs!
