After seeing the first proposed date for the bout between Andy Lee and Billy Joe Saunders called off, due to Lee falling ill, it appears that the second proposed date has now also hit complications.

The two middleweights were set to fight at the Manchester Arena, on October 10th, but Billy Joe Saunders has had to pull out after picking up a cut-eye in training.

The news is sure to disappoint the legions of boxing fans who were eagerly anticipating the clash and talking about the situation the boxing promoter Frank Warren has told The Sun newspaper,

?Andy Lee will still fight but we have to be careful with Billy. We are looking for a new date for November or December.?

It?ll be interesting to see who Andy Lee is matched with, Warren won?t want to put the Irish fighter in with somebody that could cause the champion problems and thereby jeopardy the proposed fight with Hatfield?s Billy Joe Saunders.

As for the fight between Lee and Saunders, let?s hope it is third time lucky!
