After securing a world title belt at the third attempt, there is no respite for Andy Lee.

The new WBO middleweight champion of the world might have been hoping to make a voluntary defence in his native Ireland.

Such a defence, against an ?easy? opponent would have allowed Lee the luxury of earning some cash whilst also establishing himself as a world champion.

Well it seems that the WBO have other ideas as the order has been barked out that the 30 year-old must start immediate negotiations with the WBO #1 ranked contender Billy Joe Saunders.

By starting the process off this early it is anticipated that the fight will take place in March. Apparently Lee?s camp have until 12th January 2015 to secure a deal with Saunders otherwise it?ll go to purse bids.
