Before Anthony Joshua hit the big-time he sparred with the ten world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.

Wladimir was suitably impressed with the youngsters? skills and tipped him to become a big name in the heavyweight game.

Of course, Anthony has already gone on stamp his name in the history books by winning the IBF version of the heavyweight titles, a belt Wladimir held before he was beaten by Tyson Fury.

Wladimir was in town today, promoting the re-match with Tyson Fury, a fight that is scheduled for Saturday 9th July, in Manchester and the former champ who is hoping to get revenge over his conqueror, in Dusseldorf, had a few words to say about the lad from Watford, remarking,

‘There are so many champions but that’s no disrespect to Anthony Joshua, because I’ve always been a fan.

‘He’s a talented guy that will conquer the division for a long time.

‘He still has a lot to learn, but I’m putting a lot of hope in him. He will represent the heavyweight division better than Tyson Fury.’

Don?t you just love that last line!
