Over in Hamburg last night the inference was there that the reign of the heavyweight champion, Wladimir Klitschko, could come to an end.

Matched up against the unbeaten Bulgarian, Kubrat Pulev, it was thought the fighter with 20 straight wins behind him might upset the apple-cart and snatch the IBF / IBO / WBA and WBO belts from the Ukrainian.

However, those holding those views couldn?t have been more wrong with Pulev being totally out-classed in a fight that ended in a crushing fifth round knockout.

Wladimir dominated proceedings and had the challenger on the canvas twice in the first round and again in the third before a huge left hook saw Pulev flattened after two minutes and eleven seconds of the firth round.

The win stretches Wladimir?s record to 63-3 with 53 coming by way of knockout whilst Pulev, in suffering that first knockout sees his record slip to 21-0 with 11 by way of knockout.

Who?ll be next for Klitschko?

Could it really be the winner of the domestic tear up between Tyson Fury and Dereck Chisora?
