Yesterday Adrien Broner was very vociferous when it came to a possible fight with Amir Khan.
Although Broner had indicated that his next fight would be in his home town, Cincinnati, in Ohio, you got the feeling there was a glint in his eyes when the subject of a fight with Khan was mentioned. Broner even suggested that he?d forsake that Ohio bout to take on Khan at Wembley.
Well Khan, without an opponent for his next fight, seems to like the idea of fighting Broner and has tweeted a positive response,
?Would love to fight Adrien Broner next! #KhanvsBroner ? let?s make it happen.?
However, it remains to be seen if Khan is enthusiastic about a possible re-match against a fighter he beat first time around, Marcos Maidana.
Maidana, a former two division world champion, yearns for a re-match after losing a points decision to Khan back in 2010.
But, listening to Maidana it appears the Bolton fighter is reluctant to take the re-match with Maidana manager Sebastian Contursi remarking,
?We?re wasting our time because every time we request a rematch, he always refuses.
?If you analyze every time Khan goes through the media, he never mentions Marcos Maidana, he obviously doesn?t want that fight. If he wants that fight, all he has to do is call Al Haymon.?
The situation gets more exciting by the day although my money is now on Khan v Broner, at a venue still to be decided.
Khan?s Now Spoilt for Choice!
