Although, over the years, there has been numerous verbal sparring sessions between Amir Khan and Kell Brook, it seems that the two rivals are on the same side at the moment.

Whilst one has always seemed to shy away from fighting the other, it seems strange that both have, in an attempt to place themselves firmly in the spotlight, moved up from welterweight to box at middleweight.

Unfortunately for Khan, his attempt at beating Saul ?Canelo? Alvarez ended in a spectacular mid-fight knockout.

But ahead of his Sheffield rivals fight with Gennady Golovkin, the Bolton fighter has wished his rival every success, remarking to the media,

?Kell has proven himself by agreeing to fight Golovkin.

?He?s showing balls and fighting a top name. I wish him all the very best, even though I know we don?t have nice things to say about each other.

?He?s taken on a big challenge and I think this is what he needed to do a couple of years ago.

?Welterweight is the weight for me and there are big fights out there ? including Kell.?

But with Brook having decreed that middleweight is the weight for him, a weight he feels comfortable at and a weight he can live his life fuller, will the duo ever get to fight each other?
