Or has his time been and gone?

The dramatic spectacle provided at Wembley Stadium whereby Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko enthralled 90,000 spectators and a TV audience of millions has raised the bar as far as the sport is concerned.

Quite what Eddie Hearn can put together to top Saturday night remains to be seen.

But it has shown that if you put the right show together the market is there with Hearn admitting that he could have sold the show out four times over for Saturday night.

Quite who might feature next time on such an extravaganza remains to be seen, but somebody who has been a world champion and has ambitions of becoming a world title holder again, Amir Khan, has spoken about Saturday night and it being something he?d like to be a part of before he retires.

Talking to BBC Radio Manchester, Amir had this to say about Saturday night and perhaps emulating it,

‘What a fight – it was like a Rocky movie, it was a crazy. I think that is what boxing needed.

‘Boxing is definitely one of the biggest sports in Britain and to see a 90,000 stadium full, that is somewhere I would love to be.

‘Maybe I could see my career off having a big fight like that and then calling it a day as I’ve not got many fights left in me now.’

Could we finally get a Khan v Brook showdown, at Wembley?
