With one big showdown over another huge fight shall soon be with us.
But instead of eyes being cast towards the Manchester MEN Arena, all eyes will be focussed on events in Las Vegas where Amir Khan will go head-to-head with Saul Alvarez.
The fight will see Khan jump up two weights to take on the Mexican, a move many feel the Bolton fighter could regret.
However, having missed out on fights with Floyd Mayweather Junior and Manny Pacquiao, Khan is determined to get his super-fight.
The build-up to the fight has already started with the campaign circus hitting London today and Khan was sin good verbal form as he jousted with the journalists who attended the press conference with Khan remarking,
‘I really promise you’re going to see a different Amir Khan in this fight.
‘I’ve been let down so many times in having the biggest fights. There’s a lot of big names I’ve wanted to fight but just couldn’t get those fights.
‘This is my time now to shine. I want to show the world how good Amir Khan is.
‘I’m up against a guy who is a great fighter. Alvarez is a dangerous fighter, he’s strong. But I really believe I can win this fight.’
Now we?re pretty sure Khan wouldn?t have taken the fight if he didn?t believe he could win it, but will the extra weight slow down his magnificent hand-speed and can he avoid the big punching Mexican for twelve rounds?
It is certainly a bout that will prove to be interesting.
