With his links to Pakistan in his genes, Amir Khan has confirmed that he will be visiting the country, before 2014 turns into 2015, to show his support for the victims of the massacre in Peshawar.

Having already donated the very expensive shorts he wore in his victory against Devon Alexander, to help rebuild the damaged school, the Bolton born fighter has remarked about his trip,

‘I just want to speak the truth and tell people what is happening is wrong.’

‘I think it’s more important now than ever to go over there. I think it will send a statement to a lot of people that Amir Khan is going there to make a difference. I want it to be a better country.’

‘The news hurt me even more having a little girl.?

‘Imagine sending my daughter to school and hearing that she got killed. Innocent kids, killed over nothing. These people are ruthless.?

‘It’s very disgusting seeing or hearing stuff like this. You can never think people will be that sick in their mind.’

Khan also admitted that airing his views makes him a target for the Taliban but he feels that what happened on that awful day deserves his support, for that we commend him.
