Working under the promotional banner of Matchroom Boxing, the former world champion is set for another fight in the United Kingdom.
With Khan looking to get back amongst the elite in his weight division and looking for a shot at a world title, it has been announced that the 31-year-old fighter, from Bolton, will fight in Birmingham.
The fight will be the first time Khan has fought at a venue in England’s second city for 10-years.
No opponent has yet been named but two provisional dates have been nominated, September 1st or September 8th.
Tickets are sure to be in hot demand, even more so following Khan’s last explosive appearance in the UK when, in Liverpool, he demolished Phil Lo Greco inside a round.
Khan’s a colourful, sometimes controversial character, but he’s one of the biggest box office stars the UK has.
Here at Vital Boxing, we await with baited breath to see who Khan is matched up against.
