After both tasted the sweet scent of victory over the weekend, the war of words has intensified between Kell Brook and Amir Khan.

Brook, who stopped Frankie Gavin in six rounds at the O2 Arena, has called out Amir for a domestic showdown, once again.

But Khan, fresh from a points win over Chris Algieri in New York, isn?t, at the moment, remotely interested in meeting the Sheffield fighter this year and some cutting remarks supporting that belief have appeared in the media with the Bolton fighter remarking,

?I?m not scared. I know if I got in there with him I would beat him, but why should I give him the opportunity? I?m going to be difficult about it.

?It satisfies me because I know he needs me more than I need him. He?s dying for it.

?I made more against Chris Algieri than Brook has made in his last five fights. That?s why he wants the fight.

?I can?t see it happening this year. I only want the big names now and Kell Is not one of them.?
