After almost a year out of the ring, Amir Khan is back in action in just under two weeks.

Khan will be fighting on the Las Vegas bill that features the much-anticipated fight between Mayweather Junior and Maidana.

But whilst everybody is keen to see if Mayweather can keep his unbeaten run, Amir Khan is hoping to steal the show in his first bout as a welterweight on May 3rd.

Talking about his intentions and also discussing the rest of the Las Vegas card, Amir has had this t say to the press,

?I want the world to see me putting the pressure on with a good performance ? I want to steal the show.?

?With the styles me and Collazo have, we can definitely do that because both of us will come to fight and it?s a genuine bout that can go either way if I am not at the top of my game.?

?Adrien Broner is also on the bill, but he will walk through his opponent Carlos Molina.?

?And is there anyone out there who really fancies Maidana to beat Mayweather on what is top of the bill??

?Fans know my bout is genuinely competitive.?

?They know I am willing to face anyone at any time and that I don?t swerve anything.?

?There?s no way I will be rusty because I have virtually been in camp since I fought Julio Diaz in Sheffield this time last year.?

Personally, I reckon Amir is right and the scene is set for the Bolton fighter to put on the kind of show that will, finally, force Floyd Mayweather Junior into taking a bout with a fighter who believes he has the tools to end that long unbeaten run Mayweather has.
