With the much-hoped for all-British clash between Amir Khan and Kell Brook having floundered after Khan insisted on a 70-30 purse split in his favour, the Bolton fighter has endeavoured to throw Brook a life-line regarding the fight eventually taking place with a 50-50 split.
Khan is of the opinion that Brook should return to welterweight, having moved up two weights to unsuccessfully take on the machine that is Genady Golovkin, to take on his IBF welterweight title mandatory challenger Errol Spence Jnr.
Khan insists that Brook, if he beats Spence, will have established himself as a name worthy of an equal share purse instead of fighting opponents like Jo Jo Dan, Frankie Gavin and Kevin Bizier.
There is a train of thought going around that Brook might be wary of taking on Spence believing a fight against Khan might be an alternative way forward.
We can only wait and see can?t we!
