With, over in the USA, Floyd Mayweather Junior openly flaunting a second fight against Marcos Maidana, Amir Khan is looking to force the fighter rated as the best pound-for-pound in the world to face him.

Although some pundits, including me, can?t see the fight happening for one reason or another, Khan feels it is his destiny to come face-to-face in the ring with Mayweather.

To that effect the former IBF / WBA light welterweight champion, with a record that reads 29-3 with 19 wins by way of knockout, is looking for a December ring return against an opponent that has yet to be named.

However, although December is still some way off, names for a possible opponent are being bandied about.

One possible opponent is Robert ?The Ghost? Guerrero who has a record of 32-2-1 with 18 wins coming by way of knockout, whilst another name in the frame is that of Devon Alexander, the fighter who Khan?s rival, Kell Brook, was lined up to meet in a world title bout that fell victim to injury a couple of times.

The actual date Khan will be fighting on, in December, is still subject to clarification but the Bolton fighter is off the belief a victory against a big name such as Guerrero or Alexander will force Mayweather to get into the ring with him.

Personally, I?m not so sure, how about you?
