As doubts continue to be raised as to whether Floyd Mayweather Junior and Manny Pacqiuao will ever face each other in the ring, could there be a surprise twist in the tale?

With Mayweather not seeming particularly keen to put pen-to-paper on a contract Pacquiao?s promoter, Bob Arum of the Top Rank group, has indicated that his charge will fight on May 30th if a deal with the unbeaten Mayweather cannot be secured.

But, excitingly for British fight fans, Pacquiao could be set to take on our own Amir Khan.

Although Amir is also keen to get in the ring with Mayweather, the Bolton fighter isn?t, unlike last year, prepared to wait, to be pushed around and then end up disappointed as Mayweather opts for another opponent.

Although Pacquiao and Khan used to be in the same training camp and are rumoured to be friends, Khan has hinted that a fight against the legend is on his agenda.

May, as it turns out, could be a very interesting month.
