Tonight, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Amir Khan knows that he is in the last chance saloon.

Anything other than a win will see the Bolton fighter drop down the fight rankings and away from being the star attraction.

As the fighter looks towards a bout against, preferably, Floyd Mayweather Junior, or if that doesn?t materialize, a domestic tear-up with the IBF champion Kell Brook.

The boxing pundits are suggesting that Devon Alexander doesn?t have the punch power to expose that, so-called, glass chin some pundits intimate Amir has.

But, talking about the fight tonight, Amir has commented on how training under Virgil Hunter has gone, with the Bolton lad commenting,

‘I’m still going to be the fighter that I’ve always been but I’m just going to be smarter.?

‘When I put an attack together there has got to be a reason for it.?

‘You can be exciting and come forward and throw a lot of punches, but be careful at the same time.?

‘That’s what Virgil has brought to the table – he has made me a fighter who understands everything I have to do in the ring.’

At the weigh-in, ahead of the fight, both fighters scaled 10 stones 7 pounds, right on the limit.

Bring it on!
