It is being reported that negotiations are almost complete for the long awaited match-up between Amir Khan and Devon Alexander.

In a tabloid paper, Amir has remarked that the fight for the IBF Welterweight crown will take place, in Dubai, on December 7th.

In what is rumoured to be a big-money fight, Amir explains that he?s delighted to be the first Muslim to fight in a Muslim country and that his promoters are of the opinion that despite expressing reservations beforehand, Alexander will commit to the venue, or as Amir succinctly puts it,

?We?ve got everything planned for it.?

?We?re 90 per cent done, it?s very strong. It?s just about getting the final say ? it should be confirmed next week.?

?Alexander was not keen at first and it is now just down to my American promoter Golden Boy to persuade him.?

?Dubai is Muslim, so to start off with a Muslim fighter would make a big difference.?

It promises to be quite a fight and one that Amir will hope elevate him to a new level.
