I?m not sure how much the public would want this fight but it is a fight that the Danish fighter Mikkel Kessler seems to want.

Having fought Carl Froch twice already, beating the Nottingham based fighter back in 2010 and then being beaten by Froch, on points, last year, Kessler wants to fight Froch again, providing Froch can overcome the challenge presented by George Groves at the end of this month.

Kessler, now 35 years of age, hasn?t fought since being beaten on points by Froch but, after a long rest wants that third fight with Froch with the Dane remarking to the press,

?I?m ready for all the big names out there. A third fight against Froch, why not??

?I?ve thought a lot about whether I should continue but I still feel I have something to prove.?

?I owe it to myself and my fans to finish on top.?

Although, once upon a time, a third fight with Froch would have been eagerly anticipated, I can?t help thinking that George Groves has jumped into the arena and taken everything to a whole new level. The upcoming fight between Froch and Groves is expected t be watched by the biggest crowd ever, in this country, for a fight with 80,000 coming through the turnstiles.

It?s a fight that everyone wants to see but would the same be said about a Froch v Kessler III?

I doubt it!
