Waking up this morning and getting ready to go off to the day job I heard the news that a Boxing legend had passed away.

At the age of 70, Ken Norton, had passed away at a care facility in Las Vegas.

Norton had been in poor health for several years after suffering a series of strokes but leaves us Boxing fans with so many memories.

Norton boxed in an era where Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier and George Foreman dominated, but Norton managed to make his mark in the game by beating Ali and in the process breaking his jaw.

Ali was to get his revenge in a re-match, albeit via a close decision. Norton won a version of the heavyweight title in 1977 but lost his belt in a fight against another legend, Larry Holmes.

So many memories and some fantastic times!

Ken Norton ? RIP
