On the Manchester Arena under-card, on Saturday might, the Irish fighter Katie Taylor was having her fourth professional fight.

After winning the previous three Taylor was matched against her toughest opponent so far, in Milena Koleva.

Koleva had already mixed in high-class company when she unsuccessfully fought for the IBF super-featherweight title.

In an entertaining encounter, Taylor was to take the verdict, in the eight rounds contest, on points.

The highlight of the fight came in the seventh round when Taylor had Koleva on the canvas but the former world-title challenger was a tough opponent who was determined to hear the final bell.

Talking about making it four wins in four professional contests, Taylor had this to say to the media,

?I definitely needed the eight rounds and it was a great contest against a very strong opponent.?
