>On the Glasgow under-card last night, Anthony Joshua continued his professional career in fine style.

The Olympic gold medallist was moved up a class to take on the durable Argentine heavyweight Hector Avila. Although thirty eight years of age, the Argentine had shown his durability by lasting nine rounds against the current EBU heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora.

However, any thoughts those in attendance had of seeing Joshua go a few rounds were ended in round one when big-hitting Joshua, wearing tartan to suit the environment, landing a huge punch that saw the fight ended almost before it had begun.

Joshua now has five victories from five fights on his record and there is talk in the air of a British title fight before the end of the year. Here at Vital Boxing we?d give Joshua on more warm-up contest and then pitch him in for that title fight, he, in our opinion, has the class to win it even at this early stage in his career.
