The prospect of Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko going head-to-head at Wembley Stadium, on April 29th last year, is a fight that will capture the imagination of the nation.
This Wednesday, after announcing it in the ring after Joshua had pole-axed Eric Molina, Eddie Hearn will hold the official press conference announcing the event.
For a change the proceedings will mirror what a press conference should be like with both boxers respecting each other and behaving in an impeccable manner.
Talking about the fight, Eddie Hearn has remarked,
‘The fight will hopefully be for the WBA, IBF and Ring Magazine belts.
‘The official press conference will take place at Wembley next Wednesday and tickets will go on sale before Christmas.
‘It’s two Olympic champions, two guys at different stages of their careers, the hottest prospect in heavyweight boxing against a legend. And I think Joshua will knock him out.’
At 41 Wladimir is approaching the end of his career, but will he know too much to let the much younger IBF champion get to land a knockout punch on him?
Your thoughts on the subject matter would be most welcome.
