If the rumours doing the rounds are correct, the reigning IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, may well make another voluntary defence of his title before taking on his mandatory challenger Joseph Parker.

Joshua, who has stopped all seventeen of his opponents and who has never gone past seven rounds, is being lined up to take on the former WBC champion Bermane Stiverne.

Stiverne, 37-years-old, has a record that reads 25-2-1 and has stopped 21 of his opponents and could provide Joshua with a stern test ahead of the mandatory defence against the New Zealand boxer Parker.

A date in November is being discussed, most probably at the O2 Arena which is fast becoming known as Joshua?s home.

To us, here at Vital Boxing, Joshua is at that stage of his career where, as the IBF title holder he is expected to meet ?name? fighters but must also be wary that he is still learning his trade.

Therefore, our question to you is ? Would a bout against Bermane Stiverne get your approval?

We?d appreciate your thoughts on the subject matter.
