Yesterday, as the build-up to the big IBF world heavyweight title fight gathered momentum, a former world heavyweight champion questioned whether Anthony Joshua could cope with a south-paw.

The former heavyweight in question was none other than David Haye, a fighter who is back on the comeback trail and a fighter who has visions of mixing it with Joshua in front of 80,000 spectators at Wembley Stadium somewhere down the line.

But, at his pre-fight press conference yesterday, Joshua made the point of confirming that he has no fears about stepping into the ring with the south-paw that is Prince Charles Martin, remarking to all those in attendance,

?I?ve been blessed to have three south-paws over for the last six to eight weeks.

?Early on I was getting hit with the backhand a bit but I was soon defending it, slipping it, countering it.

?I?m more alive to the big hook coming and can defend it. I can counter now and I?m really happy with the progression.?

That?s exactly what we wanted to hear Anthony, now go and do yourself and the nation proud.
