You get the impression that this Saturday the heavyweight career of Anthony Joshua really takes off.

After notching up 12 wins, all by knockout, in his first 12 professional fights, we?ve now reached the stage whereby Joshua is moving into unchartered territory, he?s no longer fighting the ?bums? but moving into the arena whereby opponents can hit back and hard.

This Saturday, at the O2 Arena, Joshua, as we?ve pointed out before, tangles with Kevin ?Kingpin? Johnson, a fighter who went the distance with Vitali Klitschko back in 2009.

Joshua will need to exercise caution; his American opponent is already trying to get inside his mind, suggesting that he is all hype and that he has no power. Johnson is trying to rile Joshua and the Watford fighter needs to be wary.

But, amongst all the word games, you get the impression that Joshua is calm enough to work effectively and get the job done without being fooled by all the verbal sparring.

In fact, in replying to the verbals aimed in his direction, Joshua has calmly replied,

‘I want do a job on him for sure but I am not going to get carried away. I am going to break him down bit by bit.’

Now that?s the way to do it. Hurt him time and time again before ending the no power argument with big right hook to finish Kingpin off.
