But, picking out one single remark made by the challenger, Anthony Joshua, summed up just what this fight means to the boxer from Watford.
Picking up on the suggestion that perhaps, after just fifteen fights, this title bout had come too early for the 26-year-old, Joshua remarked,
?I want this and I?m ready to swim through deep waters to take him out. Every fight could be your last fight but let?s scrap all this 15 fights nonsense and just put two men in the ring together who want it.’
