December can?t come soon enough for me!

The events of Saturday night, at the O2 Arena in London, whereby Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte were both victorious in their fights to ensure their eagerly anticipated clash for the Commonwealth and British heavyweight titles goes ahead, have me all excited.

To me, despite Whyte getting the better of him in the amateur ranks, Joshua is the hot favourite to keep his unbeaten record intact.

Every time Joshua steps into the ring he seems to have that air of confidence that those destined to reach the very top in their chosen sport possess. Whyte, on the other hand, although having had more professional fights than Joshua, looked raw, a slugger throwing punches but wide open to a hefty counter-punch.

Indeed, when it came to Whyte watching Joshua demolish Gary Cornish in 97 seconds, he had, despite his brash outbursts, the look of a man who wasn?t sure that ask ahead of him was one he?d be convinced he?d come unscathed through.

Joshua, maturing all the time, has the persona that keeps the public hanging on for more, the perfectly honed body allied with his likeable personality make him a potential superstar.

With the fight some way off still, Joshua has spoken about his next opponent supremely confident that he can handle the task ahead, remarking,

?What can I say about Dillian? He?s a good PR man if you ask me. He?s built himself up and made himself popular. People want to see the fight, so credit to him.

?But if I do end up getting hit on the chin, I?ll fight back. If you get hit, you hit them back ten times harder.

?He won?t outclass me. We won?t see him start tagging me all over the gaff. If he tags me, it?ll be because I?ve made a mistake.?

Will Dillian Whyte have the ability and staying power to take Joshua into previously unchartered territory in the professional game or will, despite all the chat, the Brixton fighter go the way of all Joshua?s other professional opponents and be gotten out of there in three quick rounds?
