Having stopped his first four opponents, the professional career of our Olympic Gold medallist, Anthony Joshua has gotten off to a great start.

Joshua, who aims to be keeping active this year, is next in the ring on March 1st and it has been announced that his next opponent will be 38 year-old Hector Alfredo Avila

The fight will be over eight rounds and will take place at the Scottish Exhibition Centre, in Glasgow.

Avila has a record that reads 22-15-1 and has 14 knockout wins to his credit. However, his career seems to be on a decline with the fighter having lost three out of his last five contests. Avila also has a fight against a certain Dereck Chisora with Chisora stopping Joshua?s next opponent in the 9th round.

The fight should provide Joshua with some experience but we doubt whether Avila will present too many problems as the 24 year-old plots his route to the top.
