At the Barclaycard Arena, in Birmingham, last night, Anthony Joshua kept up his perfect 100% knockout record.
Matched against the Brazilian heavyweight, Raphael Zumbano Love, a fighter who had only been stopped three times, our big heavyweight did exactly as we predicted, knocking Love out in the second round.
Caught by a decent punch, after one minute and twenty-one seconds of the second round, Love failed to beat the count administered by the referee, Phil Edwards, giving Joshua his 12th successive knockout, in 12 fights, all still inside the third round.
Talking about another short night?s work, Joshua had this to say about stopping Love and also his end of the month fight against a much more respected opponent in Kevin Johnson,
‘I’m feeling more confident with every fight and looking forward to fighting this man.
‘I don’t mind how many rounds Kevin and I last in London as long as we put on a good show for the fight.’
Let?s hope professional fight number 13 doesn?t hold any horrors for Joshua who is being guided towards the top.
Joshua Makes it 12 out of 12!
