Amongst the many bouts on the under-card at the Liverpool Echo Arena is one that features Anthony Joshua.

Joshua will be making his tenth professional appearance and many pundits are suggesting that Michael Sprott, although a respected fighter, will go the same way as the other nine have, beaten by knockout.

Joshua continues to make steady progress through the professional ranks and the very likeable and knowledgeable 25 year-old is seen as the future glamour boy of heavyweight boxing.

However, his successes have seen the likes of David Price and Tyson Fury call him out, both knowing that a domestic tear-up with the youngster would generate huge publicity and along with it a massive amount of cash.

But Joshua isn?t interested in their trash talk and knows the path he is taking, remarking ahead of his bout with Sprott tonight,

‘I won’t mention their careers, because they are not doing anything for me. I wish them success so they can stop worrying about me.?

‘I won’t compare how I’m coming through the ranks by them mentioning me.?

‘What shows me where I am coming is being able to compete for GB in the World Amateur Championships, Olympics and being respected as a human being.?

‘Those talking about me does not make any effect on me.?

‘I will rise to the talk when I feel I’m ready to. That is when it will happen.?

‘When the fights do happen, they will be massive.’

They certainly will and Joshua is quite right in what he says, everything will be done on his terms and in his own time, because he knows his destiny and is prepared to be guided along the correct path.

Tonight Joshua will make it 10-0 with all 10 coming by way of knockout, mark my words.
