The speculation that Hughie Fury would be getting a shot at the WBO world heavyweight title held by the Kiwi fighter Joseph Parker has proven to be spot on.

It has been confirmed that Hughie, the cousin of Tyson, will take on Parker in Auckland, New Zealand.

The date of the fight has been set for 1st April although the venue in Auckland has yet to be confirmed.

Parker?s promoters, Duco Events, won the purse bid for the fight, ensuring their fighter retains home advantage with a bid of $3,000,011.

Both fighters are unbeaten with the champion, Parker, having a record that reads 22-0 with 18 wins coming by way of knockout, whilst the challenger, Fury, has a record that reads 20-0 with 10 wins coming by way of knockout.

Can Hughie become the second heavyweight champion of the word in the Fury clan?
