Somewhere down the line it has been decreed that our IBF heavyweight champion will make a mandatory defence against the #1 IBF contender Joseph Parker.
Both men have impressive record, Joshua has a record that reads 17-0 whilst Parker has a record that reads 19-0, Joshua has 17 knockouts to his name whilst Parker has 17.
It is expected that both boxers will have one more fight before they clash, most probably at the O2 Arena in London.
It remains to be seen who Joshua will take on but we know that Parker will be taking on the #11 WBA contender Solomon Haumono.
Haumono has a record that reads 24-2-2 with 21 wins coming by knockout.
It is expected that the encounter, set for this Thursday evening at the Horncastle Arena in Christchurch, New Zealand, will be a decent test for Parker.
Last time out Parker took on the durable Carlos Takam taking the decision on points, at times the Kiwi looked to be running out of steam.
Will we discover that Parker is the man to trouble Joshua this Thursday night?
