After becoming a member of that exclusive club of boxers that have journeyed to the US to win a world title belt, Kell Brook is getting ready for his first defence.

On 28th March Brook will defend his title for the first time, since beating Shawn Porter, at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield.

With talk of a huge domestic showdown, against Amir Khan, supposedly on the horizon, Brook cannot afford any mistakes against his Romanian born Canadian opponent Jo Jo Dan.

However, Jo Jo Dan, who has a record that reads 34-2-0 isn?t coming to the UK simply to roll over and add another win to Brook?s record, he?s coming to win and really upset the apple-cart, remarking to the media,

‘Kell has not fought anyone like me.

‘I believe in myself and I don’t think he can bring anything I can’t deal with on fight night.

‘I’m on schedule with my work and I will be in top shape on March 28. I saw his last fight where he won the world title and it was a great performance. But I just let my team study him in depth and come up with a winning strategy.

‘I want us to put together a super fight for all boxing fans. We both train and aim for the win, so the fans should expect fireworks.

‘I have waited a long time to get a world title shot so I am determined to take advantage of this opportunity. My prediction for the fight is simple – Jo Jo Dan to become the new IBF welterweight world champion.’

It?s the kind of talk that many a fighter spouts before getting his chance of glory but could Jo Jo Dan pull this one off?

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
